My Bridesmaid Nightmare

I was honoured to be the Chief Bridesmaid at my sisters wedding, and wanted to help my sister have the best day possible. We got up early in the morning, put the music on and got ready. We had a ball, everything was going so well. Then I decided that I had to go to the toilet before the car arrived…aaagh, that’s when disaster struck. I totally forgot about the sash on the dress, and of course it disappeared down the toilet as I flushed it! The swirl of the water then caused the sash to rip away from the dress…I shouted for my sister who was having a quick glass of wine to come and 
help me. As she came into the bathroom she stood on one of the cats and in avoiding further feline screeching, managed to throw the glass of wine down the front of my dress!
I looked a complete mess…ripped dress, only a strip of a sash and a huge red wine stain. My sister who usually is not the most forgiving of people, started to laugh. I am not sure if it was from nerves or what, but I then started to…and I asked her what I was going to do. She looked and said “Perfect! I was always worried about you upstaging me, now there is no way the Bride is not going to be the belle of the ball” There was no time to get changed so I just got in the car and had the embarassment for the rest of the day….at least my sister looked wonderful and the happiest person alive!
Anyone out there who has been more embarassed than me?
Wow! What a story. lol I can just imagine my sister’s head exploding had it happened on her wedding day. Too bad there’s no pic!!
