Personalizing Your Wedding Vows

A word of caution before you go off and write your own wedding vows. Ask your wedding celebrant whether it’s your local priest, minister, judge or pastor whether you can write your own vows. I know that in a Catholic ceremony, priests are quite strict about this. I know my sister and her husband didn’t get the chance to write their own vows because the wedding celebrant didn’t allow it so they recited the standard wedding vows.

Hope this helps!
