Our One Heart

Should the bride and groom exchange gifts?

When my sister got married two years ago, she gave her husband-to-be a wedding gift. I thought it was weird at first as my Husband and I didn’t really do that at our own wedding until I shared this concept with my friends and they told me that they have exchanged wedding gifts with their husband-to-be. Most of them bought each other matching his and hers wrist watches.

If you are unsure about this, there is no known practice to do this so really, it is up to you if you want to give your spouse-to-be a present on your wedding day. If you are saving and wishing to cut costs, this is an expense you can do without.

Over the last few months planning the wedding i have been a pain… to say the least and he has been the most amazing help. I am making my own lost cost gift a shoes box with things like a mini vodca with a note say “for the nerves” and socks saying “no cold feet here” just some thing personal to remind him that i care. (sorry about the english)
