Attending weddings can be expensive. You not only have to spend on a wedding gift but also a new dress to wear (especially if you’re attending a wedding with your usual group of friends who’ve attended other weddings with you) and if the wedding is really high-profile then you would feel compelled to get your hair and make up then.
