The Bride and Groom Cupcakes

You know how it is that by the end of your own wedding party, you’ll come to realize that you don’t recall having tasted the food or worse, you don’t remember having eaten at all? It’s quite common and a lot of the people I know can attest to how often that happens.

But let’s say you’ve got this wonderful opportunity to sneak in a sweet or two? Or having a couple of cupcakes reserved exclusively to the bride and groom?

Aren’t these little things adorable? I’m finding more and more reasons to love wedding cupcakes! Another idea would be to have these things act as the piece of cake — in this case, pieces are already properly “labeled” — that the bride and groom will be feeding each other during the program at the wedding reception.

Yes, I love wedding cupcakes! If any of the reasons I’ve previously stated in my old post weren’t enough to prove my love for them, maybe a giant reason will do?

Wedding cupcakes have featured heavily on Our One Heart over the last few years. Why?

Let me count the ways why I love cupcakes:

I love that each guest can take a piece of your wedding and enjoy it too!
I love that you don’t have to slice and package each cake slice for your guests to take home as cupcakes come in its paper wrapper! At our wedding, because our guests were so full from all the food we plied them with, they each took a cupcake home to enjoy. We didn’t have to wrap them in foil for them or anything. It’s a great wedding takeaway souvenir!
I love that cupcakes allow you to have more flavours than one. We had various cupcake flavours for everyone to choose from. Unlike when it’s one big cake, you are at the mercy of the choice of the couple!

Bridal Shower Party Food

Are you hosting a bridal shower and can’t think of what to serve at the party? There are heaps of finger foods you can serve but of course it depends on the theme of your party and the kind of food that the guests will eat.

Some of the most populat bridal shower party food include:

1. cupcakes — instead of having one large cake for the shower, why don’t you consider a small tower of cupcakes?

2. Chocolate fountain – I served this at the last bridal shower I hosted and boy, it was a hit! You can use any fruit, pretzels, marshmallows for your dipping food!

3. chicken nibbles are always popular too.

4. Vegetarian kebabs – if you’ve got guests who are vegetarian, you can also opt to serve vege kebabs with bell pepper, mushrooms, zucchini and the like.

Hurrah for Chocolate Wedding Cupcakes!

If you’ve been following this blog for some time now, you’d know one of my favorite things to feature here are wedding cupcakes. I had wedding cupcakes at my wedding in 2001 when cupcakes were not the ‘in’ thing then.

So, it shouldn’t surprise you that I’m featuring yet another wedding cupcake tower. Look at all that chocolate goodness! Yummmm!

I wish there was a close-up version of the cupcakes but it is obvious that they used white and probably milk chocolate icing. Nice touch on the roses surrounding the cake.

What’s good about having a wedding cupcake is that not only have you got the mandatory wedding cake, it can also double as your wedding favor!

This cupcake tower was actually made for a shop opening but I thought it’d be a nice inspiration for those thinking about having cupcakes at their own wedding with a pink motiff…or perhaps pink and pearls wedding theme? Such a good combination, really.
