The wedding centerpieces usually create the atmosphere of one’s wedding celebration.

There are a lot of creative ways you can make an impact in the kind of wedding centerpiece you choose:

To keep guests interested and created a creative atmosphere – Use wedding centerpieces that have variations in height, color, and materials

You can have 2 to 3 designs that you can scatter around the room. One table may have a single flower arrangement while the other table may have a topiary and the third may have candle centerpieces.

If you intend to use floral centerpieces, make sure you select blooms that are in season so you don’t have to pay extra for sourcing out-of-season flowers. To keep floral centerpieces interesting, you can select various blooms that are in season but in a single color.

Adding fruits in your floral centerpieces can add depth and texture. For our wedding, we had oranges with our floral centerpieces (our motif was orange). The guests loved it!

Votive candles always add to the romantic mood of any wedding celebration so don’t skimp on these. You won’t regret it.

**STICKY: Have you checked out Our One Heart’s latest contest?**

If you had the chance to go back in time and do it again, what would you change about your wedding?
I was reflecting on this the other day and thinking back on our own wedding day and thought, “What would I do differently in our wedding?”
The first thing that came to mind was inviting more people. For a Filipino wedding, a guest list of 120 is called ‘intimate’.

My Husband is English and to him, having 120 guests at his wedding is a spectacle! I didn’t want to overwhelm him on our special day so I was ruthless in trimming the guest list down. Now, if I have to do it all over again. I’d invite my other friends whom I wanted to be there to share my special day. There were some I am sure I have hurt because I didn’t invite them.

The second one would be the venue. I would’ve wanted a garden wedding reception. We had ours in a hotel because my Mum thought it’d be too hot and sticky for guests to have an outdoor wedding in the Philippines. I suppose she was right but I’ve found cool outdoor wedding reception venues in Manila now that offer ‘airconditioned’ parts in their outdoor venues. Great idea eh?

I can’t think of anything else I’d want to change. What about you? What would you have changed given the chance?
