I am pleased to announce a contest at Our One Heart in honour of Thanksgiving in the United States.
You can enter the contest by leaving a comment on this post on what YOU are thankful for this year and how you’re going to celebrate it.
For this year, I am thankful for the following:
- my family’s love and support for everything that I do.
- our life as we know it. I know we are luckier than most people and for that I am grateful.
- and last but not least, for the loyal readers of Our One Heart and Mad Cropper (the blogs that I edit!), if not for you, these blogs wouldn’t last as long as they have

I’m thankful for my friends, who are awesome. I’m celebrating them by hosting a pre-Thanksgiving gaming and waffle night!

I am thankful that my babysitter loves me and invites my whole family over every year to her house. I am Thankful because my Mommy and Daddy are coming to Colorado for the holiday and they will get to see 5 of my children one whom they have never met.

I am thankful for so much this year. I attempted suicide in January and thankfully was rushed to the hospital by my boyfriend and bestfriend. I have learned there are things to live for. So I know I’m supposed to just list one but I will list a few more.

but lately I’m thankful for finally getting a job after being unemployed for almost a year.

I am thankful for my beautiful husband who takes such good care of me. I’m thankful for my three incredible kids, and three wondeful stepdaughters! I’m cooking a big turkey dinner with all the trimmings! Nothing is too good for my loved ones!
I’m thankful for my family and friends, my church and all my opportunities. I have been truly blessed.
I’m always thankful for my loved ones and being alive, but a new addition to my set list is my God-nephew who had to be born premature to be saved. He’s turning a year old at the end of January~
This Thanksgiving, well, I’ll be babysitting my God-nephew from the night before, so his mother will be visiting for a bit before she goes off to do her own thing. I’ll be cooking for me and my sister, and we’ll prepare to go out for Black Friday.
I am thankful for the life I have with my husband of thirty-five years. He will be turning seventy a few days before Thanksgiving. We plan on having a quiet Thanksgiving at home – just us two.

My family, gonna celebrate it with them.
as always i’m thankful for family. we wil have a great feast and continue the long week-end christmas shopping and by going harness racing at scarborough downs for a couple of days we’re a horse racing family!
