I’m so glad to see that Cameron seemed to be over heartbreak over Justin Timberlake. Now, she’s planning a white wedding with her boyfriend of nine months, Paul Sculfor. Funny though, I’ve never thought of Cameron as a ‘white wedding’ kind of gal…
A source said: “The couple is looking at big country estates with chapels within the grounds.
“They plan to hire out an entire hotel for their family and friends, and throw a massive party. They want to get married in the UK, but will continue to live in Los Angeles.”
“Paul and Cameron are so happy together and have talked …read more

This is my parents at their wedding in June 1968. Can you see how happy they are to be married….LOL!
Not sure why they weren’t smiling on this photo. Perhaps back then, smiling on your wedding day is not the in thing to do…who knows? Kidding!
I love my Mom’s wedding gown. It will be classified as vintage now I suppose. I love it because it’s so simple et elegant.
I wonder how much it’d sell on eBay? Naah, got no plans of selling it but I thought of sharing it here in the hopes of providing more ideas to those …read more
Monday Spotlight: Let’s Discuss: Do we need wedding planners?
January 12, 2009 by Christine Gooding

I recently started poll asking people to vote on whether we need wedding planners. In these hard times, some believe that paying for a wedding planner is an expense that engaged couples can get away with.
So far, we have 14 votes with 9 saying that it is an expense we don’t need.
Since I started that poll, I’d heard from a couple of readers. They said:
Linda: I voted Yes, but I don’t believe it has to be an expense. I strongly believe you need someone put in charge of planning and running everything, but my sister-in-law did all that for me …read more

I know there’s still about 6 days till we bid adieu to 2008 but I thought it’d be nice to list the celebrity couples who got married in 2008. You can use ideas from their weddings that you can use for your own weddings!
The list goes from January to December:
Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds married on 1 January 2008.
Murphy exchanged marriage vows with film producer Tracey Edmonds, former wife of Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, on January 1, 2008 in a private ceremony on an island off Bora Bora.

I can’t imagine my parents not being there for every important milestone of my life but I know others have not been as fortunate as me. There are ways of honouring your deceased parent(s) at your wedding.
There are a lot of ways to honour them:
One popular way to remember loved ones is to place flowers on an empty seat at the ceremony.
Write a message in the ceremony program in memory of your dad
Read a poem in his honor or play one of his favorite songs at the reception.
Make an announcement about why you’re playing it beforehand.

In the US, the average wedding costs around $27,000. It’s as much as a downpayment for a house. But of course, it’s the most special day in your life and if you’re got the dough, why not splurge?
However, if you’re on a really, really tight budget. You can still have the wedding of your dreams for $150. Mary Beth Baptiste shows us how.
You might call me a minimalist, or just plain cheap, but when I set out to plan my recent wedding I didn’t want anything elaborate. My husband-to-be, Richard, agreed, although he did harbor a wish for a Vegas …read more
