Cameron, 36, has even given up her usual adventure holidays, instead spending her spare time planning her impending nuptials.

Another source told Look magazine: “Usually Cameron goes to Hawaii surfing but this year she had much more exciting things up her sleeve – checking out places where she and Paul can get married.”

The couple spent a romantic weekend inspecting Babington House in Somerset, south west England, and are also reportedly considering Gosfield Hall or Leez Priory in Essex, Clearwell Castle near Bristol and Chatsworth House in Derbyshire as possible venues.

Not sure why they weren’t smiling on this photo. Perhaps back then, smiling on your wedding day is not the in thing to do…who knows? Kidding!

I love my Mom’s wedding gown. It will be classified as vintage now I suppose. I love it because it’s so simple et elegant.

I wonder how much it’d sell on eBay? Naah, got no plans of selling it but I thought of sharing it here in the hopes of providing more ideas to those planning a vintage wedding.

Did you notice the white on white going on with my Mom’s wedding outfit and her choice of flowers? Totally cool!

And the Boutonniere that my Dad’s wearing on his lapel? Something you can use for the Groom in a vintage wedding too

So far, we have 14 votes with 9 saying that it is an expense we don’t need.

Since I started that poll, I’d heard from a couple of readers. They said:

Linda: I voted Yes, but I don’t believe it has to be an expense. I strongly believe you need someone put in charge of planning and running everything, but my sister-in-law did all that for me without charging me for her services. Obviously having someone so close doing all the planning allowed me to be a huge part of it, but it also took away a lot of the stress. I greatly appreciated her help because it just made the big day that much better by taking the stress away. Family is always willing to help, so let them! I gave gifts to everyone that helped me out.

StephanieinCA: If a wedding planner is what you need to keep from turning into the bride from hell, then I say it’s well worth the expense.

There are a lot of ways to honour them:

• One popular way to remember loved ones is to place flowers on an empty seat at the ceremony.
• Write a message in the ceremony program in memory of your dad
• Read a poem in his honor or play one of his favorite songs at the reception.
• Make an announcement about why you’re playing it beforehand.

However, if you’re on a really, really tight budget. You can still have the wedding of your dreams for $150. Mary Beth Baptiste shows us how.

You might call me a minimalist, or just plain cheap, but when I set out to plan my recent wedding I didn’t want anything elaborate. My husband-to-be, Richard, agreed, although he did harbor a wish for a Vegas drive-through wedding with an Elvis impersonator as our witness.

While nearly $30,000 may buy more glitz, it can’t buy more joy or romance. Our own wedding in the woods was intimate, dreamy and definitely one-of-a-kind. We snow shoed a short distance into the trees and found a pine alcove for our chapel. Our Unitarian-Universalist minister read some inspirational passages we had chosen, we exchanged our own vows and we kissed. Two friends photographed the ceremony with a digital camera and surprised us by popping open a bottle of champagne they’d carried into the woods in a backpack. Throughout the ceremony, light from the sun and clouds patterned through snow-laden trees. The usual Wyoming wind was absent.

Afterward we enjoyed a simple dinner at a cozy café, complete with wood stove, in Centennial, a town of 100 at the base of the Snowy Range. A few weeks later, we ordered a special cake from a bakery and e-mailed an open invitation to our friends for a potluck dinner, minus gifts. We have a marriage certificate and an online photo album to share with family and friends. The final rundown: Marriage license: $25. Dinner for five: $60. Minister’s snowshoe rental: $15. Flowers: $25. Champagne: $10. Cake: $15. Online photo album: free. Total: $150.

We even had a flower dog.
