A friend of mine is such a fan of Audrey Hepburn and she was telling all about how she plans to use Moon River as her wedding song. You know how women are when it comes to planning their own wedding, they’ll be as detailed as possible even when there’s no groom in sight. She’s such a sweetheart and a romantic and I’m sure she’ll forgive me for having said that.
She sent me a link to this great wedding video which used the very song (instrumental version). Check it out, have a listen to the song and tell me if …read more

Are you a Pulp Fiction fan? You can incorporate your favorite movie into your wedding by dancing the first dance to “Pumpkin and Honey Bunny” (dialogue)/”Misirlou” performed by Dick Dale & His Deltones.
Make sure you get dance choreographed to like this couple here:
What the couple did was they started out with a slow song (a different one) and then broke out into the funny dance ala Uma Thurman and John Travolta. I loved the audience reaction the best though. Everyone was clapping and having a lot of fun cheering the couple along. So cute!
There are other great songs that you …read more

If you still haven’t decided on your song for your first dance, you might find inspiration in Britain’s top 5 wedding first dance songs:
1. Lonestar’s 1999 song ‘Amazed‘ — not sure if I like this song but hey, to each his (or her!) own!
2. Aerosmith’s ‘I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing’
3. Shania Twain’s ‘From This Moment On’ — not surprised about this. Walked down the aisle to this song! This was in 2001 though. I’m surprised the song is still popular now.
4. Bryan Adams’ ‘Everything I Do (I Do It For You)’
5. Take That’s ‘Rule The World’

I know the Grey’s Anatomy season is over and done with but I just have to feature the video clip of Alex and Izzie’s wedding vows. I love everything about the wedding scene.
To those who didn’t know, the song that accompanied the wedding scene was “Turn To Stone” by Ingrid Michaelson. Love the song, love the vows, love the whole wedding scene. Made me cry if truth be told! The song “Turn to Stone” can also be used as the bridal march song eh? Or perhaps the song to the first wedding dance?
Here’s the transcript of Alex’s wedding …read more

I’ve always featured wedding dances for the bride and her Dad but not much has been featured on Our One Heart for the Groom and his mother. They are as important as the dance for the Bride and her Dad surely so here I am with a perfect song for your wedding dance with the special Mom in your life.
I must admit, I got a bit weepy watching this video as the Mom was hugging the groom (her son!) and crying while dancing. It was soooo emotional!
The song the Groom and his Mom dance to was "I’ll Always Be Your …read more

I was watching my daily fix of YouTube videos when I came across this song “Love of My Life” by indie artist, Darla Day. I must say, it’s such a heartwarming song. You can use it as the bridal march song or the song for your wedding dance. If you sing, you can also sing this to your spouse-to-be as a surprise number at the wedding reception. If you’re the groom and you can sing, you can surprise your bride by singing this song as she walks down the aisle.

Have you heard Carrie Underwood (American Idol 2006 winner)’s rendition of Motley Crue’s ‘Home Sweet Home’?
This is such a heartwarming song and would be perfect song to accompany your first dance! Especially if you’re into country music, this will go down well with you and your hunny and of course, your guests!
Can you imagine yourself resting your head on your man’s shoulders while dancing to this song?
Awwww how sweet!
