Wedding Bloopers

Wedding Bloopers

Any wedding no matter how perfectly planned will have bloopers and little mistakes. So to those planning their own wedding, I do want to caution you all to not stress about making your wedding perfect 100%. At our own wedding, my Husband slipped his wedding band on my finger and I only realized the mistake because the ring was too big for my little ring finger. No I didn’t get stressed about it. We actually laughed about it and tried to slip in the right one before my turn in the wedding ring exchange. We have photos laughing our heads …read more

Wedding Song Idea: “Someone Like You”

Wedding Song Idea: “Someone Like You”

I was hopping on my online buddies’ blogs and found this song in Toni’s site. According to Toni, “Someone Like You” is her all-time favourite slow song to dance with a special someone.I listened to the song and it does melt your heart
It’s a good Bridal March song or first dance at your wedding reception

Unique Wedding Idea: Skydive

Unique Wedding Idea: Skydive

You and your spouse-to-be skydiving enthusiasts? Why not skydive on your wedding to celebrate your special day?
This is what Jeanie and Jamy of Pennsylvania did!
Talk about taking the plunge. Jeanie Dulski and Jamy Knittle actually took two plunges on Friday: First, they got married at Hazleton Municipal Airport, then they went skydiving.
As Dulski explained it: “Getting married is scarier than jumping out of a plane.”
Hazleton Mayor Lou Barletta performed the ceremony on the ground for Dulski and Knittle, both 30. About 45 minutes later, the bride and groom took a plane up to 10,000 feet and leaped out.
It was the …read more

Get married with a $3,000 Budget

I know by US standards, this is a reasonably low wedding budget but it is possible to get married to the one you love in that budget…as long as you live in the Philippines!
Ready Abygail’s story as she reveals how she got the wedding of her dreams without going bankrupt:
I honestly don’t know how much a wedding is going to cost in other countries, I’m only telling you this in context of the Filipino culture. And when you talk of Filipino weddings, you would know that weddings here in this country is not just a family affair—it’s a celebration that …read more

Looking for Couples for new wedding show

I am posting this on behalf of a request from an Our One Heart reader who happens to be a producer based in L.A. Here goes:
I am a producer in L.A. Currently casting for a new wedding show on the Style Network, “I Do Over.” The premise of the show: giving one couple, who’s first wedding was a total nightmare, a chance to redo it-for FREE! An incurable romantic

In my Sunday magazine I read about Barry Chandler who wanted to show his love for his wife on their 10th anniversary. Now most men may opt for the flowers or the chocolates, but not Barry. He organised the same wedding day that they had enjoyed 10 years earlier. He booked the same church to renew their vows, the same vicar, organist, reception, flowers, best men etc
He is quoted as saying “I really wanted to show Samantha how much I loved her”
Now who says romance is dead!

Pretty in Pink

Liz Hurley’s upcoming wedding would seem to have put her in the pink as NOW is running a story on how all the guests will be asked to dress in pink sari’s with the men asked to wear turbans and long tunics.
The weirdest past of Liz and Arun’s invitation is the recommendation of a travel iron – how romantic is that!

Imagine getting married on Boxing Day

…Well that is exactly what my mum did all the way back in 1959. I can never understand why anyone would get married on that day, so while she is staying with me I thought I would ask her
 So mum, why Boxing Day?
Mum: I never really enjoyed Christmas, being the eldest in the family it meant that Christmas to me was always working hard. This way I had a Christmas when I could enjoy it, and others were helping me.
How did your family react?
Mum: My dad was not happy as he always went shooting on Boxing Day, and he had …read more
