Wedding Song Idea: Moon River

A friend of mine is such a fan of Audrey Hepburn and she was telling all about how she plans to use Moon River as her wedding song. You know how women are when it comes to planning their own wedding, they’ll be as detailed as possible even when there’s no groom in sight. She’s such a sweetheart and a romantic and I’m sure she’ll forgive me for having said that.
She sent me a link to this great wedding video which used the very song (instrumental version). Check it out, have a listen to the song and tell me if …read more
Wedding Video: Share Your Love Story

We’re no stranger to wedding videos. More and more couples are incorporating wedding videos into their wedding programs, often shown during the wedding reception, in varied styles.
Though, what I’ve noticed so far are the popularity of video presentations that show photos of the couple when they were children, couple photos, then pre-nup or engagement photos. What they’re sharing may be interesting and relevant but it lacks the cohesiveness if compared with a wedding video that shares the love story — from how they met leading up to the wedding proposal.
A great example is this wedding video (photo-slide show, to be …read more

Maybe you have thought of putting together something like this for your wedding or maybe not but I think it’s good to put the word out there that there are couples who opt to set aside a day or two for a session during their busy pre-wedding schedule.
On top of the engagement photo session, if the people you hired offer this service, it’ll be a good thing to consider. Include a pre-wedding/engagement cinematography session, too.

Wedding First Dance Idea:Pulp Fiction Moves

Are you a Pulp Fiction fan? You can incorporate your favorite movie into your wedding by dancing the first dance to “Pumpkin and Honey Bunny” (dialogue)/”Misirlou” performed by Dick Dale & His Deltones.
Make sure you get dance choreographed to like this couple here:
What the couple did was they started out with a slow song (a different one) and then broke out into the funny dance ala Uma Thurman and John Travolta. I loved the audience reaction the best though. Everyone was clapping and having a lot of fun cheering the couple along. So cute!
There are other great songs that you …read more
Wedding Dance: Who did it better?

Which wedding dance video do you prefer?
Jill and Kevin Heinz’s “Wedding Entrance Dance” that now has about 11 million views
or the Wedding Thriller Dance that has around 3 million views ++
I think these wedding dances are putting a lot of pressure on couples to top the dance or gimmick they saw at the last wedding especially if most their wedding guests are guests from previous weddings they’ve attended as well.
TIP: If you’re not comfortable about doing these things, keep it simple. There’s no point in going over the top for the sake of it.

I know the Grey’s Anatomy season is over and done with but I just have to feature the video clip of Alex and Izzie’s wedding vows. I love everything about the wedding scene.
To those who didn’t know, the song that accompanied the wedding scene was “Turn To Stone” by Ingrid Michaelson. Love the song, love the vows, love the whole wedding scene. Made me cry if truth be told! The song “Turn to Stone” can also be used as the bridal march song eh? Or perhaps the song to the first wedding dance?
Here’s the transcript of Alex’s wedding …read more
Tip: Eat something before your Wedding

On the day of your wedding, there’ll be a lot of preparations. Believe me, no matter how simple your wedding is, people will be fussing over you so as a bride, there will be lots to do — getting your hair done, face made up, photos to be taken, video to be done…so like I said…a lot of things. And as a bride busy to be the blushing and blooming bride that she is, you may forget to eat.
If you’re the groom, you may think you don’t need to prepare much and in your excitement, you may forget to eat.
If you’re …read more

Here’s the latest wedding film made by the uber-talented, Jason Magbanua. This time, the wedding film was for the Philippine superstars, Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo. I love Jason’s work. You may or may not know but Jason covered and edited our wedding video. Jason also covered and edited the wedding video of Claudine Barretto and Raymart Santiago.
The wedding film above runs for about 12 minutes. It’s grainy like a film set in the 1980s. Jason used a Super 8 film for this. I love the way it was covered. So unobtrusive catching the bride, groom and their guests …read more

Any wedding no matter how perfectly planned will have bloopers and little mistakes. So to those planning their own wedding, I do want to caution you all to not stress about making your wedding perfect 100%. At our own wedding, my Husband slipped his wedding band on my finger and I only realized the mistake because the ring was too big for my little ring finger. No I didn’t get stressed about it. We actually laughed about it and tried to slip in the right one before my turn in the wedding ring exchange. We have photos laughing our heads …read more

To my non-Filipino readers, apologies for bombarding you with the wedding videos of Philippine showbiz celebrities, Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo but they’re just too good to pass up!
What’s good about watching this is you’d get creative and great ideas if you want an Amazing Race-Mystery Tour type of wedding in a beach setting. The wedding of this couple was filled with this (to avoid the paparazzi). But still, the ideas are so simple yet so great.
