If someone offers you and your fiance $50,000 to cover your wedding (and then some). Would you do it? There’s a catch though. You have to get married naked!
A New Zealand radio station is on the hunt for a couple willing to bare all in their marriage ceremony.
The Edge is offering a couple a wedding worth $50,000 – so long as when they say “I do” they are both naked.
If you’re interested in entering this, visit The Edge.
I have heard of outfits like NZ Bungy Jumps that offer free bungy jumps (they cost $200 a pop!) to those who do …read more

And when I say be careful of pigs, I don’t mean pigs in a metaphorical way. I mean, be wary of pigs in a literal way.
A GREEDY pig is thought to have swallowed a diamond from a woman’s wedding ring after she put her hand into his pen in Britain, the owner of the animal said.
Farmer Paul Caygill said the pig called Ginger clamped his jaws around the jewel at Easingwold Maize Maze visitor attraction in northern England on Sunday.
“It wasn’t malicious or anything, it didn’t take her finger off but took the central stone of her diamond ring,” Mr …read more

When I got married back in 2001, the trend for brides back then were very long veils or trains. I had a long-ish train but it was definitely short compared to the other brides before and after me. It’s definitely short compared to this Chinese bride who wore a 2 kilometer long wedding train! yaiks!
A bride wore a wedding dress with a 2km (1.2 mile) train to her wedding.
The groom’s family handmade the dress and more than 200 wedding guests took three hours to unroll the train and pin 9,999 red roses on it before the ceremony in China’s Jilin …read more

After the bridal party dancers, I think the pressure on for other couples about to get married to think of something ‘creative’ or outside the square to make their weddings memorable. I wonder if this is what the bridegroom did when he backflipped at his wedding?
The 18-year-old was posing for a photograph alongside his bride, Becky Butcher, when he was overcome with excitement and performed the backwards somersault.
Mr Andersen said: “It was a fantastic and joyous day in every sense. Becky looked gorgeous and I was over the moon.
“So when we …read more

Creative ideas are good at weddings but make sure that whatever creative idea you have, it is also safe for you, your guests and your wedding suppliers!
In a twist on the traditional throwing of the bouquet, a couple hired a small aeroplane to fly past their guests at Montioni park in Suvereto, near Livorno in western Tuscany, and drop the bride’s bouquet to a line of women standing below, according to a report in Corriere della Sera.
But as the plane flew over the crowd on Saturday, the flowers were sucked back into the engine, causing it to catch fire and …read more

If there is one thing you should avoid on your wedding day — the first day of your married life…is to avoid lying. If you lie then make sure you don’t get caught but to make things easier on you and your spouse, don’t lie at all.
Confused at what I am talking about?
A bridegroom who tried to get compensation after falsely claiming to have been injured in a coach crash on his wedding day was caught out after being filmed dancing at his reception, a court heard.
Why go to the trouble of filing for compensation for something that never …read more

If you had GBP10,000? Would you spend it to get married in weightlessness? Not sure if I would. Won’t it be very uncomfortable? What about my gown? Won’t it go upside down? Sorry I’m thinking about the practicalities of getting married in total weightlessness when I should be congratulating the first couple who got married in a ‘weightless’ environment!
Noah Fulmore and Erin Finnegan floated around as they became the first couple to tie the knot while weightless. They were married on a special flight that simulates the zero gravity experienced by astronauts on space walks. The couple paid more than …read more
Swine Flu does not affect Chicago Wedding

What if both you and your spouse-to-be get diagnosed with swine flu a couple of days before your wedding? What would you do? Would you push through with it knowing that swine flu is highly contagious and that you may contaminate your guests or would you postpone the wedding? Not sure I like what this couple in Chicago did. They were diagnosed with a highly contagious virus and still they exposed their guests to it!
A Chicago couple diagnosed with swine flu only 48 hours before their wedding said they went through with their plans — in latex gloves and surgical …read more
