Have you heard of Google Maps’ latest addition to its stable? There was Google Earth and now there’s the Street View. Not sure if I am all that keen for people to have an up, close and personal view of the street where I live but apparently, this is legal.
So, I was thinking, how can this help you guys with your wedding planning and preparation? I thought you could create a virtual map of the venue of of your wedding ceremony and reception using Google Maps Street View and send it to your invited guests and voila — there’s no excuse for them getting lost as they can see where the locations are on the map plus they have a visual image of what the wedding venue(s) look like!
You can also use this as a guide when talking to your wedding planner, florist and the like as you can show them exactly where the wedding venue is and where you want your flowers hung, etc etc.
The above image is a Google Map Street view of one of the most iconic Churches in Christchurch, New Zealand. If you’re getting married there then or planning to go to Christchurch for your honeymoon then this is one of the things you can find there!
By the way, the Street View application is only available in the United States, Australia and New Zealand.
