I know, I know, there’s a GFC (Global Financial Crisis — can you believe it? There’s even an acronym for the crisis the world is going through now) so we must find ways to save on anything we could.
While Australian couples preparing for their wedding seem to be living in a bubble where recession does not exist in their vocabulary, other couples around the world are I’m sure tightening their belts.
So here I present to you wedding gowns that cost less than US$1,000:

Scala bridal destination wedding beaded gown cut out back — another vintage-y look. What do you think? Lovely isn’t it? It’s only $318!

White Matte Jersey Wedding Gown – only cost $425

Lace Wedding Gown — I love this one…very vintage, very in! And it’s only $325!

Halle (White) – Wedding Gown — Remember that gorgeous gown that Halle Berry wore at one of the Oscar’s Awards night? This is similar, right? I’m sure this is also reasonably priced compared to what Halle wore at the Awards night. Only $695!

Scala bridal destination wedding pleated gown adorned shoulders – If you’re into pleats, this a great wedding gown for you! At a sane price of $450!
Good luck on your hunt for the perfect wedding gown!

You certainly don’t have to pay a lot for your wedding dress nowadays! There are many sources including ebay, thrift shops, consignment shops as well as there being many online dress shops to choose from.
I love what’s coming out of Etsy myself. Leanne Marshall from Project Runway used to have a decent little shop there, and there are a bunch of designers posting on the site. Bluefly’s also pretty decent, and Wai-Ching makes adorable things for well under $1,000…
It’s not the price of the dress.
It’s not EVEN the dress.
It’s that intangible thing that comes with “I do!” (True Love)
My dress cost $100. Yep, that’s one HUNDRED dollars.
It worked for us…
he STILL loves me after all these years!
