Tired of the conventional cake designs for your wedding? Why not have a wedding cupcake tree! The photo above was the wedding cupcake at our own wedding! No need to slice and wrap each cake for your guests. All you have to do is hand them out and presto, all your guests can have their cake and eat it too or so to speak! :P

two friends did two cupcake trees at their wedding. i describe their wedding in my book, cheap ways to tie the knot, because they married for less than $5,000: Married in early December, they couple, along with an interior decorator family friend who also attends their church, arranged the church platform around a nine-foot Christmas tree centerpiece. But not a single branch was adorned in holiday red, green, or gold. This tree exploded with hot pink, electric blue, and glowing green ornaments and natural branches—all spray painted and then placed on the tree and highlighted with white lights. Below the tree were giant boxes wrapped in altered paper to match the color scheme. It was a whimsical daydream of fantasy and romance. The colors and theme carried through the wedding, to the ribbons and blue-spray painted branches on the aisle ends to the two three-tiered pink cupcake towers at the reception. It was a low-cost reception winner.

  4. I love your cupcake tower, it’s super cute. Are there any close-up photos? I’m just curious about the construction of the stand.

I am always amazed by the creative wedding cupcake ideas. But for some decorating cupcakes does not come easy. I love to see an ordinary cupcake transformed with a laser cut wrapper.

my fiance and i are getting married in 2 weeks or so,June 20th to be exact, and we had a very tight budget of $2000 dollars and that’s including our attire. and one of the things that we deffinently stuck on were wedding cupcakes.. they’re super fantastic and so easy to do myself a couple days before the wedding and they’re cheaper than having somebody make a cake for us. i’m a baker and i also decorate cakes n such so this is so up my alley. our decorations for them are bright beautiful frostings with sugar pearls dripped on them and the cake recipe will be marble cake with some filled with bavarian creme and some with raspberry filling, and some without. we only have 100 people attending so i’m sure this will be, exscuse the punn, a cake walk.^-^. so yes i recommend cupcakes for a wedding, instead of the same old boring tiered cake. make it fun, make it simple yet elegant and remember it is you and your partners day make it your own & follow your heart.

If you’re looking for a way to display cupcakes at your wedding in an elegant way (sans cardboard), check out the new Crystal Palace Cupcake Tree at http://www.crystalpalacecupcaketree.com. It’s different than others because it’s made of clear acrylic, so all the attention is on the cupcakes. It’s really beautiful, and even better, it folds flat for storage (you’ll want to use it for other events as well). They’ve got great decorating ideas on the site, too!
