There is hope for us mere common mortals. If a Princess of England (Princess Anne) can recycle a dress that she wore 27 years ago, then we can do it too!
It is ok to recycle your outfits you know. There is no need to buy a new outfit for each wedding you go to unless you can afford to do it. Attending a wedding is an excuse to buy a new dress but if you’re on a tight budget then there is no shame in recycling a dress or outfit that you’ve worn to past weddings.
A way to refresh it is by changing the wrap or shawl you use with the dress. If at the last wedding you wore it in, you didn’t have a wrap or shawl then go and use one.
Another way to do it is by dressing your recycled outfit with a new choker or necklace.

I don’t see anything wrong with recycling an outfit for a wedding.
Your tips about adding accessories and different jewelry can change it up enough. And certainly these options are less expensive than buying a whole new dress!
I am the founder of Recycle Your Wedding. an online bridal community where new and soon-to-be brides can go to buy and sell wedding related items. Many of our members recycle their wedding outfits. In fact, we encourage it! It is important for couples to budget and spend money wisely, especially when they are just starting their lives.
