Technology has become increasingly desirable to people seeking help with — well, anything. It’s easy, convenient and you don’t have to deal with those pesky fellow human beings we all can’t stand. Now, there’s a virtual therapist who can theoretically … More
Federally mandated labeling laws-required by the U.S. Food and Drug Administrationâare in place so that we shoppers don’t accidentally scorch our skin. The sunscreens will now have to be clear: do they protect skin cancer? Do they protect against sunburn? Are they water-resistant? More

Iâm getting a little tired of the âStrong is the New Skinnyâ meme (see the Facebook group, and this article), or at least the way itâs coming across. Right now, I’m still receiving emails regarding the confessional piece I wrote yesterday about why I do not use birth control. Most of the emails are thoughtful and understanding. Many of them share their perspectives on birth control and successful methods, pregnancy and regrets about unwanted pregnancies. More

Interested, I decided to ask my fellow Blisstree writers if they do breast self-checks. Here’s our conversation: More

A little while ago, Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Clayface Mike Jeffries made some really awful comments about why his fratty Americana mall clothes donât come in larger sizes. A recent article (focusing on the brandâs desire for thin, popular customers) brought the comments back around and a new outcry surged on the internet, especially from the fat acceptance community. One blogger, Jes at The Militant Baker, decided to write an open letter to Jeffries. Then, even better, she did a photoshoot to accompany that letter, imagining âfat Abercrombie adsâ that reflect positive body image. More
