2006 Top Five Toy Trends

Toys R Us has identified five toy trends for Holiday 2006. Check out the press release for more info.
- Trend #1: Just Like Mom and Dad – They’re talking kid-size version of adults products like Fisher Prize Kids-Tough digital cameras, guitar, and cars.
- Trend #2: Bilingual Toys – Mostly English and Spanish like Dora the Explorer and Diego. I wish there were some equally attractive and well produced bilingual products for families wishing to learn Chinese!
- Trend #3: Interactive Experiences – Blue Man toys, LEGO Mindstorms NXT, Vmigo (?!)
- Trend #4: Electronics Not Included - Fisher Price Medical Kit, Giggle Gear Super Fort, Play-Doh Creativity Center, and maybe I should also mention everyday household items.
- Trend #5: Imaginative Play – Sound City Railway from Imaginarium, Spark Art Creativity System Easel from Fisher Prize, Crayola Color Explosion Spinner, The Little Mermaid Magical Talking Kitchen (Ahhhhhh!! The voices! The voices!)
