A Charlie Brown Christmas

A Charlie Brown ChristmasA Charlie Brown Christmas has already aired here. ALREADY. Go ahead, check the post date. Why, yes, you’re right, it IS still November. Crazy.

But what a fun little movie. I actually taped it for the kids (it came on past their bedtime) and got to see them watch it for the first time. They had a blast with it, especially the dancing scene. Both boys were offended, though, when Lucy yelled at Linus that he had to get rid of that “stupid blanket.” Well, the 3 year old was offended (he still loves sleeping with his blankie). The one year old didn’t say anything, but I could see the hurt in his eyes. He goes hardly anywhere without his duckie blankie. My daughter was just very shocked to hear the word “stupid” in the cartoon. Dang, is she sheilded or what?!?

This is one of our favorite family holiday movies. And Bald Man does a darn good impression of the kid with the “shoulder shrug/heel click” dance. Maybe if you ask nicely he’ll show you.

BTW-From Amazon, you can get all three Charlie Brown holiday movies in one package deal: Peanuts Holiday Collection (A Charlie Brown Christmas/A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving/It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown). Enjoy!
