A New Neighbor on Sesame Street

A new neighbor will be joining all of our favorite characters on Sesame Street. Her name is Abby Caddaby, and she will be joining the neighborhood for Sesame Street’s 37th season.
Abby is the first female character to join the show in 13 years, which is crazy because it means that Zoe and Rosita have been there at least that long! They still seem like cute new characters to me.

Our girls were the first generation to grow up watching Sesame Street on TV, way back when ALL the Henson characters were male. I never thought a thing about it at the time, as that’s just the way things were back then. My, how times have changed.

Yeah, I guess Miss Piggy and the hippy chick (from the Muppet Show) were the only female Muppets I remember from back then. Never thought about it!
