Another Easy Bake Oven Recall

When I got the heads-up from Karen about an Easy Bake Oven recall, I remembered that Hsien had reported one back earlier in the year. It seems that the issues that were causing concern in February have not yet been properly addressed, and now I’ve seen them use the word amputation. Yep, definitely worth bringing up again.

As terrible as it is that a child has been injured to the point of requiring amputation, I don’t believe it is Easy-Bakes fault. they have provided all the necessary accesories to keep children from needing to put their fingers into the oven. The oven does require adult supervision, it is an appliance. You wouldn’t leave an 8 year old with a real oven unattended an expect them to successfully bake a cake unsupervised.
