I make cutout cookies with my kids and decorate them.
My favorite cookie baking memories are of letting the girls cut out and help me decorate Christmas cookies. I have about one more year and I’ll be able to do the same with a granddaughter.
usually they start out fun and pretty then something goes wrong- an eye where the food is- and well more icing ends up on fingers and face. My kids made a gingerbread house once that turned out like little red riding hood could not get out when she got caught- and they began to tell people it was a nightmare before Christmas house becuase it was anything but sweet
