Bring a Drive-in Movie Theater to Your Backyard with an Inflatable Screen

Open Air Cinemas offers rentals of outdoor movie theaters for parties and events, but you can also buy your own outdoor home theater system to use in your own backyard.  Apparently, it takes about 30 seconds to inflate the screen using the “near-silent” blower fan.  Then you plug in the CineBox, put in a movie and you’re ready to watch your backyard movie under the stars and on the big screen.

The least expensive home backyard theater system is the 9′ x 5′ CineBox that retails for $1,599.00, but it’s on sale now for $1,499.00 on the CineBox website.  It’s a steep investment, but it would be a lot of fun for families or people who enjoy entertaining and movies.  My sister has a close-knit group of neighbors, and I could picture them enjoying backyard movies during warm summer nights or crisp fall evenings.

What do you think of backyard movie theaters?

BB, I received permission to use the photos, etc. directly from the company, Open Air Cinemas. You’d need to contact the company for permission. Here is the link to their contact page: http://www.openaircinema.us/contact.htm.
