As a follow up to my post yesterday about the ultra-cool but super expensive Young Explorers Computer System from IBM and Little Tikes, I though I would talk about some more affordable computer equipment for kids this week. Today’s product – the Crayola Colors Keyboard!
The Crayola Colors Keyboard is intended for children ages 3 and up and retails for $24.99. It includes colorful keys, which are larger than traditional keyboard keys to make it easier for young children to use. It works on Windows and Mac computers and includes a USB port for a mouse.
In fact, Crayola offers a matching mouse, the Crayola Optical Water Mouse, for just $14.99. However, you can find a lot of cool mice for kids in stores and online (watch for my upcoming post about mice for kids!).
What do you think of the Crayola Colors Keyboard? I like it, and I think my triplets would like it, too. Have your kids used a computer keyboard intended for children? Leave a comment and share your experience with PlayLibrary readers.

I like the idea, but the only downside is that most kids have an atypical, one color keyboard already on the computers in school and possibly at home. Would it be confusing to adjust from this to a typical keyboard?
