Crayola Model Magic Santa

santa.jpgThis is what my oldest was busy creating yesterday while I was fervently finishing up my Christmas cards. (I know, I’m such a procrastinator.)

The kids decided to pull out the Crayola Model Magic to keep themselves busy. My 5 year old first used it while at the Kids’ Club at Michael’s one Saturday. She loves playing with it. There’s no “working it” to get it soft like regular clay. It’s very easy to use, and you can still mix colors and such like you do with regular clay. The only downside is that you have to work quickly with it. It dries out pretty fast, so it’s best if you have a project in mind when you get started with it.

As for Santa’s pants? I’ve no idea why he’s not wearing any. Maybe he just wanted to show everyone just how skinny his legs have gotten and make sure that everyone leaves him lots of cookies this Christmas Eve!

  1. My kids love those Michael’s Crafts days. We’ve missed the last few years because of the baby being born but when we went to Michaels last week we decided that she’s probably old enough to take part now (almost 2) so we’re going this Saturday. This month they have really, really good projects.

  2. Robyn: Aren’t they fun? One of our homeschooling friends told us about it. I’d no idea Michael’s offered it! Our oldest is devoted to her Saturday morning crafts now, and $2 is pretty sweet for all they do!
