After much searching, many calls to ToysRUs (less busy than WalMart, I figured my chances were better) I found Emo one Monday morning – after a one month search. It turns out that toys take 10 days to get from the TRU warehouse to the store, and I heard on November 8 from the store manager that there were none in the warehouse at that time. So I started hitting the store at 9AM on Friday, Nov. 17th. On Monday, Nov. 20 I struck it rich. Of four TRU employees at the customer service desk at 9AM, only one knew that Elmo had arrived, he said there were 15 of them at the end of the pre-school row of toys. At 9:05, there were about eight there. A woman clutching two told me not to feel guilty about taking three – one for my 6 year old grand-daughter, one for my 11 year old niece, and one for me, my 66 year old sister, and 92 year old mother to share. So I gave a generous donation to Toys for Tots to assuage my guilt.

How much you want to bet that us seniors use it more than anyone? So far, a few times a day – what a riot! Elmo’s now under the tree, waiting to entertain any time we need a laugh.
