I am horrified and disgusted with Nickelodoen for doing this to Dora.

What the hell is wrong with them? Are they not making enough money with this Dora that they have to “slut her up”?

I know myself that my 2 daugters (16 months and 36 months) LOVE Dora and will no longer have a role model if they go any change her. Our house is full of Dora the Explorer DVD’s, dolls, toys etc etc etc.

Dora is the reason my girls, yes even the 16 month old can say Spanish words and know what they mean. Dora is also the reason my girls want to go on “adventures” in the outdoors.

DON’T DESTROY DORA, LEAVE HER ALONE.

    Hi Kim!
I understand your frustration about the new Dora. However, you have to also remember that little girls grow up and it is difficult for them to assimilate those changes, Dora could help with that side of growing up being a cartoon role model. I think Nickelodeon would never show inappropriate content on any of their products. I believe some parents feel threatened by the idea of their little girls growing up and reflect that fear on Dora growing up. For your young girls there’s plenty of Dora the little girl explorer to grow up with (DVD’s, Games, flash cards etc.) For parents of pre teen girls the Growing up Dora could be a great learning tool. Let’s open our minds and see what the creators of Dora are thinking. We might be overlooking an important phase on our growing girls life, let’s study how pre teen girls feel about it. It’s not always about us, stop being selfish and allow girls to have an older sister who is growing up so they don’t feel so scared about growing up themselves.

hi im 10 years old(alyiah`s lil sis)i hate dora but my lil sisters love dora thats y u should not change dora because lil girl kids(sometimes boys)they mainy communicate more better with lil kid shows with kids the ages between.1-6 but older kids like things around there age.like me im 10 and doras going to be ten thats y u should change it for older kids.so older kids can like doing what dora dose but better for big kids to communcate with instead of counting saying abc and other stuff.

im sorry for saying this to all the parents that believe they shouldent change dora but it makes scence because five to ten she is getting older and you have to accept that.they should put the old dora show on nick jr. and the new dora on nick becuase believe it or not i think i might like this dora. it might just actuly be cool.(i really do not like the old dora now)that im older sorry

I am so excited about Dora’s new look and my daughter is turning 4 and loves her to death, I just wish they have a product line since my daughters birthday is in two months and I would love to buy her the new Dora look instead of the old. My daughter understands so much because of Dora and what a great idea to have her grow up just like my daughter is and start exploring new adventures. Yes still play the old Dora for those who are still younger and just exploring Dora but bring on the new Dora for those growing like my daughter. She is so excited to see what new adventures Dora is coming up with and how they are going to put her little sister and little brother into play in the new ones.
