Hey Mike! I’ve only heard two reviews of the movie “Doogal,” and the other was pretty much the same as yours. It went something like, “Don’t ever watch that movie.” But Cars was fun! That’s the only new release we made it to with the kids this year. Gotta love the cheap movies! Especially since my almost 3 year old (only 2 more days of describing him like that!) decided he had to leave right before the climax of the storyline. I figure I’ll catch up on the ending when it’s released next month.

We just started this last week. I think we’re going to do Weds or Thurs. We saw Doogal which I think is a horrible movie for little kids. Here’s hoping for something better this week. I’m looking forward to Cars coming to DVD. The kids loved that one at the theater.

A friend of mine has three or four boxes of them. They really are fabulous. I can’t wait til we have our own place, and then we can stockpile them and play to our heart’s content.

Christina: It is so encouraging to hear of the families who have reached out and welcomed you. Community is a beautiful gift! I’ll have to check out those planks. Have you used them?

Kailani: We need to be better about making it a weekly event. What could be more important than family time?! BTW-What’s hurrican popcorn? Sounds fun!

Erica: It’s a great time, and no guilt over breaking the bank! Not that it’s bad to go out with the kids, and we do that sometimes, but it’s great to teach them that we don’t have to leave the house and spend a ton of cash to have fun together.

We try to have movie night every Saturday. We lay out all the pillows and blankets, make hurricane popcorn, turn down the lights, and watch a movie that Girlie Girl picked out. Tonight it was Over the Hedge although she was a little scared of the bear.

We did movie night every Thursday night when we lived in Dubai. Now it’s going to be on Friday nights, cause a fabulous family has adopted us, so we have a standing invite to hang with them whenever we can.

It’s amazing to have such great family, even with people who only know me through friends of friends. What an amazing city I live in.
