Gotta love the Muppets…

I used to love the Muppet Show. My mom used to say that watching it together was the only time that my brother and I got along! I remember that Animal was his favorite.
Anyway, here’s a little clip for ya, because it feels like a Muppets kinda night. I do think this is the best rendition of this song that I’ve ever heard, and you can’t helped but be endeared to Animal by watching this! Enjoy. 
I blog about the Muppet Show all the time (personal blog) it’s such a strange show. Kids (including me) seemed to love it but it’s so utterly adult in topic. Very odd. But still just way too cool.
We have the first 2 seasons on DVD and my six year old son loves them – me too – a childhood favorite.
However, as a result, I have heard words come out of his mouth that scare me…..”Hooray! Ethel Merman!”
We just acquired old VHS copies of the Muppets in Space and the Very Merry Muppet Christmas in Bulgarian. The kids and my husband both love it…and I can pretty much understand what’s happening.
Oh, I love the Muppets too! They always had the funniest skits when they’d have celebrity guests.

It’s amazing the things that go over our heads when we’re young. Re-watching shows now that I used to watch as a kid, it’s a wonder anything seemed appropriate for kids!

Kate: Who knew? The Muppets in Bulgarian. Does Beaker still sound like Beaker?
Angela: It was fun to see how well the celebs interacted with the Muppets. That’s still one of my favorite parts of Sesame Street!
