Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

I’m a big Harry Potter fan. I’ve read all the books, and I’ve watched all the movies as they’ve come out. My son wanted to go see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince when it premiered, he heard some of the movie theaters had a midnight showing on Wednesday night. He was sure we needed to go to that midnight showing, but that didn’t seem like a good idea to me. We’ve had a busy week, but we did get to go see the movie this afternoon.
I thought the movie was very good. I always think the Harry Potter books are better than the movies (and this one was no exception), and the books definitely explain things more. I feel bad for people who have only seen the movies, because they’re missing so many of the great details that are in the books.
I love that quidditch was back in this movie. It hasn’t been in the last couple. There was also more humor in this movie, most of it was at Ron’s expense.
My son of course thought the movie was fabulous, and is ready to go see it again.
