Healthy Kids’ Snacks

asnack.jpgDoesn’t this look yummy? This recipe from Better Homes and Gardens looks like something my kids would love to snack on. In fact, we do concoct something similar to this when we’re looking for a healthy treat.

Our dish includes low-fat vanilla yogurt, berries, and a little granola. If we have fresh lemons, a little lemon zest really makes it zing. The kids get really bummed when we don’t have the ingredients on hand for their favorite snack.

So, let this post be a reminder to us all to keep healthy snacks on hand for this holiday season. There are going to be holiday cookies and candies and snacks all right in reach for the next few months. I’m going to try to make sure to have the healthy snacks just as convenient!

And if you need some tips on holding off on the snacks altogether (for you, not necessarily the kids), head on over to Eat 4 Today for some tips!
