Where To Find FurReal Butterscotch Pony

TMX Elmo is old news. What’s everyone looking for now? FurReal Butterscotch Pony. If you’ve got an unlimited budget, here’s a few places I suggest looking:

• KBtoys has it in stock!
• Froogle search for “butterscotch pony”
• eBay search for “butterscotch pony”
• Amazon Marketplace
• Woolworths.co.uk (for shipping to UK addresses only)

FAO Schwarz has a 5-feet-tall brown and white pony that might also satisfy but I’m not sure if it’s just for decoration or can suffer abuse. The Charlotte’s Web plush collection exclusive to FAO Schwarz looks lovely too. Ike the Horse is 21″ tall and “just” $65.

Where else have you found the FurReal Butterscotch Pony? I think most places are sold out.

Play Doesn’t Come Free

How much do you think you’ll be spending on toys and related children’s goods this holiday season? Most likely you’ll be several hundred dollars poorer after all the gifts have been purchased. Chris Rugaber of the Chicago Sun-Times writes about the rising cost of play. The toys he names as among the most expensive:

• FurReal Butterscotch pony – $299
• Zizzle pinball machine – $300
• Sony PlayStation 3 – $500
• Nerf Showtime Hoops – $249
• Ford Mustang Power Wheels exclusive to Wal-Mart – $250
• ChatNow – $75
• LEGO Mindstorm NXT – $249

What’s worse, you may have to pay even higher prices for the toys listed above if they’re sold out and only available from individual sellers on eBay or Amazon Marketplace. Ka-ching!

Toy Talk: FurReal Butterscotch Pony

Jenny at Three Kid Circus is going to be surprising her darlings this Christmas with the very popular FurReal Butterscotch Pony. And thankfully, she’s one of those parents who reads directions.

I want to make out with whoever wrote those last two bullet items, because that made my day. Imagine the parents who score a black-market Butterscotch on eBay at the last minute, and, lacking time to assemble it, slip a wrapped box under the tree…little Susie is in for a shock when she discovers that her box contains a decapitated horse! Aiiieee!

Update: I’ve got some suggestions for where you can find the FurReal Butterscotch Pony that’s quickly selling out everywhere.
