Last Minute Cheap and Easy Halloween Costume Ideas

Halloween is on Friday. Is your costume ready? If not, check out some of these last minute Halloween costume ideas that are fast, easy and cheap:
A Tourist
This is an easy costume to put together quickly. Find a Hawaiian shirt or touristy T-shirt. Put on some shorts and flip flops as well as a floppy beach hat. Grab a beach bag with a rolled up beach towel and put tourist maps or guide books inside. Sling a pair of binoculars over your neck. Carry your camera and sunglasses, and you’re read to go. If you’re really ambitious, add white costume makeup on your nose to simulate sunscreen.
A Piece of Bubblegum Stuck to a Shoe
This idea comes from my teen years when a friend of mine dressed up as a piece of gum stuck to a shoe for Halloween one year. Dress in pink (or the gum flavor color of your choice) and tie a shoe to your head.
Dirty Laundry
Cut a hole in a laundry basket so it fits around your waist. Fill it with clothes (particularly old or stained clothes). Voila! You’re a basket of dirty laundry. You could also use a laundry bag instead of a basket.
A Body Cast
Dress in all white. Carry magic markers with you so people can sign “the cast.”
A Chocolate Chip Cookie
Dress in brown. Cut out black circles from construction paper and pin them all over your clothes.

As a last resort you can create your own Irwin Mainway, Johnny Space Commander mask and put a plastic bag over your head with a rubber band to keep it in place.
