Slip ‘N Slide the Summer Away!

Slip 'N Slide Splash Factor 18' Water Slide By Wham-OWell, folks, we’re in the last few weeks of summer vacation. So, before the green leaves start changing into orange and red ones, and the tank tops are traded in for sweaters, let’s give those water toys their last moments of summer glory.

Our toy sprinkler decided it was finally done with our abuse and quit on us, and so we purchased a Nemo Slip ‘N Slide for the kids to play on. We put it up in my mom’s backyard, which has a very slight slope, and the inflated end of the toy made for a fun little pool for the kids to splash into at the end of their slide. It was kinda fun when I did it, too. And the kids thought that was hilarious. Come to think of it, so did my mom. Very different from the shower curtain and garden hose from my childhood memories!

BTW-We need just a few more votes. Have you voted in our poll in the right sidebar yet? :D

Shower curtain and water hose huh… sounds awfully familiar. Don’t suppose your mom got any photographs of you slip sliding down this Slip n’ Slide now did she?? You simply have to share lol…

  2. WP: I really thought Hsien was going to be the one to ask that question, but I actually think mom did take a photo. Maybe, just for you, I’ll look it up. :D

we picked up a spiderman slip and slide a couple of years ago for about 10 bucks. the kids loved it. last summer, we had our big annual bbq and 26 kids spent the whole afternoon sliding and had an absolute blast.

the lawn on the other hand turned into a mucky, nasty mess. we had to reseed!

  4. Gary: I don’t think we paid anymore than that for it this summer. And well worth the investment! Although many of my friends who’ve gone out recently looking for them say they’ve flown off the shelves, b/c they can’t find them. Thanks for commenting, and for the warning about the lawn! Good thing to keep in mind.
