We Made Reindeer Food

We Made Reindeer Food

We made some reindeer food to put out for Santa’s reindeer this morning. Most recipes call for glitter, but we used some pretty colored sugar sprinkles we had, and mixed it with some rolled oats. I always worry about birds eating the glitter when we put it out, so I like to use something edible, but still sparkly.
I mixed up one tablespoon of sugar sprinkles (red and green) with one tablespoon of rolled oats. Then we sprinkle it in the yard on Christmas eve.
Do you put food out for Santa’s reindeer ?

Gift Wrapping Is For The Birds

I just finished wrapping a Tekno robot puppy, a Lightning McQueen remote control car, and two small race cars from the movie Cars. It was NOT fun. What do you think of gift wrapping? Take our poll (here or in the sidebar)!

Calling Santa

As a special reward, I will sometimes use my cell phone to call our land line. My toddler loves to answer the phone and chat with me even though I’m just standing in the next room!
Can you imagine the thrill of speaking to Santa? Throughout the Christmas season, children will be able to dial *101 from a Vonage line and hear a recording from Santa Claus. After hearing the recorded message, they will be able to leave Santa a message and tell him what they want for Christmas.
Embarrassingly, my son already tells everyone who calls what he wants, …read more
