We’ve wanted to give Nacho Loco a try, so we pulled it out and set it up. Our dog Lily wanted to play too, or make off with the cards to chew them up, it’s hard to say. Probably she just wanted to be in the photo, she’s quite the picture hog.

We’ve wanted to give Nacho Loco a try, so we pulled it out and set it up. Our dog Lily wanted to play too, or make off with the cards to chew them up, it’s hard to say. Probably she just wanted to be in the photo, she’s quite the picture hog.

Nacho Loco is a card game by Buffalo Games that reminds me a little of Uno(tm), and Dominoes(tm) combined. The cards are tortilla shaped, with three sides. The game starts with each player receiving 6 cards. Then one card is flipped up from the draw pile to build on.

Players take turns playing their cards, and if they can’t play they have to draw. There are also cards that make players draw cards, or skip their turn.

When the play goes all the way around and no one can play a card the board is closed, and a new one is started by flipping over a card from the draw pile.

The object of the game is to get rid of all the cards in your hand. When you do that everyone else has to count how many cards they have, and the player that went out gets points for each card his or her opponents still have.

The instructions have you play until some one reaches twenty points, but I think you could change this depending on the number of players, and how long you want to play.

It was a fun game, my son wanted to play it again later to show his dad. We’re going to a family gathering this weekend for Christmas, I think we’ll definitely take this one along to play. I think it would be even more fun with a group of about 6 people.

This is one of Amazon’s best sellers right now. It’s the Monopoly Electronic Banking Edition.
I played Monopoly as a kid SO much. We just loved it around my house. But I of course played the old version with paper money. Does anyone know what paper money is anymore?
Here’s a description of this new 21st century Monopoly:
The Monopoly Electronic Banking Edition game combines the best of classic Monopoly with updated electronic transactions.

As with the original version, players still operate with money, learn real-world economics, competition and strategy, try to stay out of jail, and try their best to get filthy rich. But this version has been updated to reflect changes in how the real world uses money: All transactions are conducted with Monopoly’s new banking card system. Anyone from age 8 and up will enjoy this updated version of one of the world’s most famous games.

You see, this version of Monopoly features bank card accounts, updated tokens, money system and more.

Here are Amazon’s pros and cons of the game:

Pros

* Same basic game play, but with up-to-date references
* Electronic banking works well, easy to learn
* Teaches responsible money management
* Fun for both kids and adults

Cons

* Player customizations might not work with the new version
* Updated references will eventually become out of date, too

I’m not sure if I would go with this version, but it’s definitely a hot seller right now.
