The Wiggles On Good Morning America

The Wiggles On Good Morning America

Looks like our favorite brightly-colored skivvied friends will be making an appearence tomorrow morning on Good Morning America. For many of us, I’m guessing that this will be our first opportunity to see Sam Moran included in a performance as the official bearer of the yellow skivvie, though we know he has been performing in Greg Page’s stead (and doing a wonderful job!) on and off for a while now.
Looks like I may have to set my alarm a bit early for The Wiggles‘ performance! Hmm…or that’s what the VCR is for.

Farewell, Greg Page Wiggle

And with this, the closing of our unofficial Greg Page Wiggle Tribute day, I leave you with my favorite Wiggles tape (we actually have the VHS of this, and I don’t know how much longer it will last!), Wiggle Time. The songs are fun, the dances simple enough for my kids (and me) to dance along, and nothing beats Murray Cook and Captain Feathersword (Paul Paddick) cracking each other up at the end!
Thanks again, Greg, for all of the talent and joy you shared with our kids. Thanks for your part in teaching them good values, sharing good …read more

Greg Page is an Elvis Fan

Greg Page is an Elvis Fan

Hsien mentioned earlier that Greg Page is not only known as the (now former) yellow Wiggle, but that he has had success as a solo artist as well. The album mentioned earlier is performed by Greg Page and the TCB Band, which was Elvis Presley’s band. Apparently, Greg is the first Australian to perform and record with TCB.
I came across a fun interview with Greg at Elvis Australia from 2002. He shares a lot of his impressions of and adoration for Elvis Presley. There are also just some fun bits about The Wiggles and listening to …read more

A Wiggly Inspired Lunch

A Wiggly Inspired Lunch

In honor of our Greg Page Wiggle Tribute Day, the kids enjoyed a nice big bowl of fruit salad for lunch while they watched their favorite Wiggles movies. A can of mandarin oranges, sliced banana, cut up apple, and some grapes. Yummy Yummy!
It’s nice to have a major entertainment group that encourages good behaviour and healthy habits for our kids. And also pretty fun that dancing with their videos (and my kids) is a good way to get in a few excercise sessions for me!

Send Warm Wishes to Greg Page Wiggle

Send Warm Wishes to Greg Page Wiggle

The Australian has a page where you can send your warm and get well wishes to Greg Page. Head on over there to return some of that Wiggly love and encouragement! Let’s make sure he knows that we’re all rooting for him and wishing him the best!

Greg Page Wiggle’s Solo Music Career

Greg Page Wiggle’s Solo Music Career

You may not have known that Greg Page of The Wiggles also had a solo music career. Brettyfan of YouTube has compiled a mix of his solo songs. You can listen here. My four-year-old seemed to like these songs quite a lot as well. Must be the familiar, melodious voice.

Greg Page Wiggles Tribute Day Round-Up #3

Here are more reactions to Greg Page Wiggle’s departure from The Wiggles.
From Right Pundits:
The Wiggles are on the television every morning at Ranch McCain, but I cringe every morning just the same. They are not exactly my vision of the Ideal Man. And when they aren’t on the telly, they are on the CD player, creating a wild Wiggles dance fest in the living room when I want to watch football. That is, unless we are driving in which case they are blasting in the car when I’d rather hear Steppenwolf. However, at a time like this, one shouldn’t …read more

Thanks, Greg Page Wiggle

Thanks, Greg Page Wiggle

So, I wake up this morning to the official news that Greg Page is leaving The Wiggles. As I was watching Greg’s official good-bye on my laptop, the kids were standing with me. My one-year old sees Greg and starts saying, “giggle, giggle, giggle,” which is apparently his word for “wiggle.” This morning was the first time he said it, and he followed it immediately by starting to dance around the kitchen in a very Henry the Octopus-like fashion.
I’m in no way trying to make light of what is a serious condition for Greg, but am I …read more

Introducing Sam Moran Wiggle

The Wiggles are great guys. Look at their big smiles on what is probably a very sad day in their lives.
Anthony Field Wiggle, the blue wiggle:
It’s very surreal that Greg’s not going to be with us, very sad.
Myself, Murray and Jeff. We actually said to each other, ‘do you want to keep going?’ and we said ‘yes, we’d love to keep going’.
Here’s to another 15 years of The Wiggles!

Greg Page Wiggle Tribute Day Round-Up #2

Many are writing about Greg Page’s departure from The Wiggles in honor of Greg Page Wiggle Tribute Day. Are you? Leave a comment or email me.
From A Second Hand Conjecture:
My oldest son dressed as Greg Wiggle this year for Halloween, complete with yellow shirt, magic hat, rabbit and wand (Greg is the Wiggle who wants to be a magician). Luckily, my son is only three, and with subtle prodding from Mommy and Daddy will only “remember” either a three-man group or the equivalent of Darrin being replaced on Bewitched.
