Today I have another review of a toy from the WHAM-O 60th Anniversary celebration – the WHAM-O Original Hula Hoop.
We all remember playing with hula hoops as children. I never could master the technique. When I received the WHAM-O Original Hula Hoop to test, I still can’t keep it up! It doesn’t matter if you can actually keep a hula hoop up for more than 2-seconds though. There are so many fun games you can create using a Hula Hoop.

2008 marks the 60th anniversary of WHAM-O, the creator of many of the toys and games parents remember from their own childhoods such as the Slip ‘N Slide, Hula Hoop, Frisbee, SuperBall and more.
To help celebrate its 60th anniversary, WHAM-O has five 60th Anniversary Edition Toys out – a Hula Hoop, Slip ‘N Slide Mega Shark, SuperBall, Hacky Sack Striker and Frisbee Pro Classic. Each 60th Anniversary Edition Toy is a great example of toys that can get your kids away from video games and outside for some fun in the sun!

Hula Hoop Tag

You already know that I love the dollar stores, and one of the reasons is that they carry hula hoops. Yes, for a dollar! And the great thing about hula hoops for a dollar is that you can have a bunch of friends over, with a bunch of cheap hula hoops, and play a game that we invented called Hula Hoop Tag.
