10 Fun Handmade Kids Christmas Ornaments

Some of my favorite ornaments on my tree are handmade. We have ornaments that my husband and I made when we were kids, and we have quite a few ornaments we’ve made with our son through the years. Some of my fondest Christmas memories are painting ceramic ornaments, making salt dough ornaments, and stringing beaded ornaments.
I love making Christmas ornaments and other Christmas crafts with my son this time of year, so I thought I’d gather up some handmade Christmas ornament ideas you could do with your children.

Ornament Crafts with the Kids

We aren’t quite on top of things enough to have our tree up yet, but we do have the Christmas music playing in the house. We’ve also made some time for ornament crafting with the kids.
Baldman took some of our cookie cutters (these can be found for a dollar or less) and traced them onto chipboard (thin pieces of thin cardboard) for our templates.
