The WHAM-O Pro Classic Original Frisbee Disc is made with U-Flex, so it can bend. That makes it easier to grip, throw and catch then other frisbees on the market. This is a great family frisbee for a day at the park or beach. I’ve always loved frisbees (except those days during high [...]
Post from: Play Library

The WHAM-O Pro Classic Original Frisbee Disc is made with U-Flex, so it can bend. That makes it easier to grip, throw and catch then other frisbees on the market. This is a great family frisbee for a day at the park or beach. I’ve always loved frisbees (except those days during high school gym class when we were forced to play Ultimate Frisbee, but that’s another story entirely).

The age range given for the WHAM-O Pro Classic Original Frisbee Disc is 5 and up, but my 3-year old triplets like to try to throw it and roll it. They also love to pretend it’s a plate and roll their cars around in it like it’s a racetrack. Three year olds have such great imaginations!

At only about $7.00, you just can’t go wrong with the WHAM-O Pro Classic Original Frisbee Disc. One more thing, these frisbees last a long, long time!

Well, I fell victim to the cool picture on the package of the Wigglin’ Water Squirter Hose sprinkler when I saw it on the shelf at Wal-Mart today. At just $16.95, I thought I’d give it a try for my triplets’ 4th birthday this summer.

Here’s my theory – my kids always bump into eachother using a traditional sprinkler, perhaps this one will allow them to spread out more and reduce sibling fights. I know, wishful thinking. I’m sure they’ll all group together in the same spot anyway.

Here’s my theory – my kids always bump into eachother using a traditional sprinkler, perhaps this one will allow them to spread out more and reduce sibling fights. I know, wishful thinking. I’m sure they’ll all group together in the same spot anyway.

I have to confess. I have a secondary motive for buying the Wigglin’ Water Squirter Hose sprinkler. Since it spreads out over 12 feet with 15 sprinkler heads, I’m hoping I can water my backyard at the same time the kids are playing.

I’ll have to wait and see how my plan works. The triplets’ birthday isn’t for another month and a half. Has anyone else purchased the Wigglin’ Water Squirter Hose sprinkler yet? What do you (and your kids) think of it?

I took a long time trying to pick out the right sandbox for my 3-year old triplets. I didn’t want wood because we live in Florida and bugs are always a concern (especially termites).
It had to be big enough for three kids, but not too big because my yard isn’t huge. It had to have a top that secured in place because we get hurricanes here which are very windy. It also rains for a short time most days during the summer, so the top had to stay on tightly or the sand would never dry and would be unusable.

With those criteria in mind, I finally settled on the Step 2 Naturally Playful Sandbox after reading many reviews that said the top stayed on and the sand stayed dry.

We’ve been using this sandbox for a few months now and I’m happy to report that the top does stay on and the sand does stay dry! It’s also big enough for all three kids. It required no assembly and it holds a lot of sand. And one more thing, it’s only $59.99! My rating on the Step 2 Naturally Playful Sandbox – two thumbs up!

I think that’s a great price for everything the Slam n Slide offers. Check out the details from the Little Tikes website:

I think that’s a great price for everything the Slam n Slide offers. Check out the details from the Little Tikes website:

Measuring 9 x 12 x 14.5 feet, this slide features a wet, wonderful and wild 142″ long ride.

Starts with a spray hood on the top of the 82″ high slide

Includes water basketball net and a 13″ pool at the bottom

Easy to set up since its 13″ blower inflates and deflates the slide in minutes and maintains continuous airflow

Built of puncture resistant material with durable mesh netting

Includes stakes, heavy-duty blower with GFCI, repair kit and storage bag

Ages 5 years and up

Recommended maximum combined weight limit: 350 lbs.

If I had a big enough (and flat enough) backyard, this is the slide I’d buy. I love that it offers three different toys in one – a big slide, a climbing area, and a little pool. There is so much room for multiple children with various activities. I can picture myself sliding down with the kids then resting in the pool while they continue to play. What fun!

Do you have an inflatable pool, slide or climber that you really like? Which one is it and why?

Check out the Beach Blast Ball that I found on the BabyCenter store today for children ages 3 and up. This toy costs $12.95 and is just 18″ in diameter. Once attached to a garden hose, the ball bounces and squirts water in all different directions. In fact, kids won’t know where it’s going to bounce or spray next making it different from a typical backyard sprinkler.
What do you think of this new version of a sprinkler? I have to wonder if it really works as well as it appears to in the picture.

Holy smokes does this toy look like fun! I was searching for something unrelated on the Toys ‘R Us website when I spotted the new Teeter Twirl by Troxel Products.
The Teeter Twirl is intended for kids ages 6 and up. It’s not just a traditional see-saw. The Teeter Twirl goes not just up and down, but it spins in circles, too.
The Teeter Twirl is just $59.99. This seems like a great toy! If you have the Teeter Twirl or have seen it in use before, leave a comment and share your opinions on it. Is it really as cool as it [...]
Post from: Play Library

I’ve been thinking about getting my kids a bounce house for well over a year now. For their 3rd birthday last summer, we rented one of the huge, heavy-duty bounce houses, and the triplets loved it! I’ve been torn over whether or not I should have just bought one then or if I should buy one now before their 4th birthday rolls around in July. I’m sure they’ll want another bounce house to use on their birthday this year. I can’t blame them. It was a lot of fun!

My problem is this – first, bounce houses are expensive, but honestly, renting one a couple of times ends up costing as much as a small bounce house from Toys ‘R Us would cost. I need something that’s big enough to fit three kids, so it can’t be too small. But I wonder, is it realistic that I would actually pull a bounce house out, fill it up, then take it down and put it away only to do the whole routine over again, and again and again (we’re not allowed to keep a bounce house up for an extended period of time in our neighborhood). What to do? I still can’t decide.

What do you think? Share your experience and thoughts in the comments below and help me decide if I should buy a bounce house or just rent one again for the triplets’ birthday this summer. If you bought one and love it, which one do you have? The bounce house in the picture above is on sale through Little Tikes for just $199 (a rental costs at least $100), but I worry about the quality. I’m sure the quality of the Little Tikes bounce house is not as sturdy as the professional grade bounce houses that rental companies provide. Please help me decide what to do!
