I remember Mr. Rogers, and visiting his neighborhood when I was a kid. PBS Kids has just launched a new Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood at PBSKids.org, it’s a new neighborhood for Mr. Rogers’ fans of all ages. The website is loaded with activities, videos and fun geared toward preschoolers and their parents.
In addition to the new website 26 of the favorite Mr. Rogers’ episodes of all time will be part of the national PBS Kids Saturday morning broadcast lineup beginning on September 12. Check your local listings for the time in your area. The show will also be available to …read more
V. Smile TV Learning System

My daughter’s new friend introduced her to the V.Smile TV Learning System made by VTech. She loved it!
I think this was her first experience with a video game, or at least the type that requires a joystick. Up to this point, I think her only experience has been on-line games at PBS and CBeebies. Certainly, it was a much more high-tech experience than my Atari 2600 of the 80’s!

Fred Newman Sounds Funny

I was first introduced to Fred Newman while my kids were watching Between the Lions on PBS. His sound effects were so fun to listen to that I had to stop what I was doing to see his bits on the show.
Imagine my surprise when I started watching A Prairie Home Companion and saw Mr. Newman doing the sound effects there, too! His talent is quite amazing.
