One of my favorite finds this spring was the Water Wow! line of “coloring books” from Giddy Up. Including Backyardigans, Hello Kitty, Dora the Explorer and Sesame Street themed Water Wow! Doodle Books, these little books provide a clean, stain-free experience for your kids.
I didn’t actually purchase them for the car, but rather for my in-laws’ house. They recently moved back to our area, and I wanted to bring something to their new house that the kids could play with, but that wouldn’t risk ruining anything that didn’t belong to us. The Water WOW sets come …read more
TMX Elmo and Barbie

The day that the new TMX Elmo was revealed, just as prominently as Elmo himself (when performing an Amazon search) was the Barbie – TMX Elmo combination. You can see them pictured together in several of Hsien’s posts. This is the first time I ever remember, or could even find, Barbie being paired for sale with a Sesame Street character (though as I’ve told you before, I’m not so hot on the research end of things. Feel free to prove me wrong.)
So, why now?

TMX Elmo can be found no more in most parts of the U.S. (my mom checked Target two days after the launch and nada), but they’re still plentiful in the UK. I met my first TMX Elmo in person today and it was a riot! He waved his arm at me, jived for me, and even jumped when I said jump. Check out the YouTube video I made at the Brent Cross UK Toys R Us.
If you’re wondering, “Where can I find TMX Elmo?” you should come to the UK! £34.99 is nothing after you’ve paid …read more

There’s a countdown and all on Good Morning America as Diane Sawyer and Robin Roberts are preparing to debut the new TMX Elmo. According to their sources, only 50 people have seen the new Elmo before he is revealed this morning “Around the Watercooler” on GMA.
A drumroll, and out of the safe comes what Diane Sawyer and her co-workers refer to as “Tickle Me Elmo Extreme.” He stands and laughs. He slaps his knees. He falls down, stands up and scoots across the table, turns on his belly and slaps the table, then gets back …read more

Good morning! If you’re like many parents and children, today is a big day for you in Elmo-land. This picture is of Barbie and TMX Elmo. The new and improved (?) Elmo, him/herself, will make its global debut at 9 a.m.
The Toy Guy(R) Chris Byrne says:
You won’t believe what this little guy does, and if you don’t laugh till you cry, you must have no funny bone at all. ‘T.M.X’. Elmo will engage anyone who sees it and engulf them in gales of laughter. Get ready for another phenomenon!
To whet your appetite for TMX Elmo before Kerri …read more
T.M.X. Elmo

The new T.M.X. Elmo, scheduled to arrive on September 19th, is shrouded in mystery. The most I’ve been able to gather is that the “T. M.” refers to his “Tickle Me” fame, and the X (as Roman numeral) stands for the 10th year since the Tickle Me Elmo craze of Christmas 1996. No features of the new toy are being released until the toy actually hits the store shelves. But you can see the countdown of his release (days, hours, minutes, seconds, and milliseconds) at Fisher-Price.

Sesame Street at the Metropolitan Museum of Art recently became a regular in our video rotation. I’d never seen this movie, produced when I was just a kid myself. A good friend of mine’s son had outgrown it, so we happily accepted another distraction for my son opportunity to spend time with the Sesame Street gang.
One of my favorite parts was Oscar’s delight at finding beautiful “trash” on display in the museum. Or at least that was his artistic interpretation of broken Roman statues. Gotta love Oscar!

Did you see Abby Caddaby today? I didn’t think that she was due to move to Sesame Street until September, but there she was, as cute as can be! My daughter likes her because she’s pink. Of course, now that I see the Sesame Street website, I see that it says she arrived August 14th. Ah well, research isn’t my strong point, folks. But she is adorable!
