My son received these Ready, Set, Go! cars for his last birthday, and they’re one of the few toys from a year ago that are still enjoyed by the kids on pretty much a daily basis. They’re made of a soft plastic, and grip perfectly in little hands. They’re also easy to rev up so that they can be sent shooting across the wooden floor. Do you love a visit to the dollar store? I do. And I love to share the experience with others.
Just a couple of months ago, I was with a family member who had never been in a dollar store of any type. I took her to a Dollar Tree. All she could say was, “And this? This is a dollar, too? What about this? Surely this isn’t a dollar?”

Frank Hartman has been collecting Hot Wheels cars “for his son.” Sure? He’s bought more than 5,000 of them worth more than $20,000. They’re flowing out of closets and rooms, covering the walls.
Frank might be collecting for his son but it’s not for him to play with, more for the investment value.
