The Fresh Beat Band~ New to Nickelodeon

I have more fun stuff for preschoolers today. Nickelodeon is rolling out a new live action, music, comedy series this fall. The Fresh Beat Band premieres on August 24th at 12 noon.
Nickelodeon is hoping kids will get up and dance to the fresh new sound of The Fresh Beat Band. The show will be about 4 friends who are not only in a band together, but also go to school together, and love to sing and dance.
The the four members of the band include, Marina (played by Shayna Rose) is the drummer, drumming on anything she can get her hands on. Kiki (played by Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer) makes up the groups dance moves. Twist (played by Jon Beavers) uses his voice and the turn tables to make his beat box sounds. The final member is Shout (played by Thomas Hobson) likes to raise the energy of the band by jamming on his keyboard.
Preschoolers love music, so it sounds like Nickelodeon has a hit on their hands. I can see preschoolers dancing around their living rooms this fall.

I THINK THESE KIDS THAT ARE PLAYING IN THIS SHOW LOOK MORE LIKE COLLEGE FRESHMEN
AND JUNIOR AND THE ONE WHO NAMED TWIST IS REALLY OLD LOOKING I HOPE THE SHOW DOES WELL, BECAUSE TWIST ACTING IS NOT THAT GREAT HE TRYING TO HARD AND THAT MAKES HIM COME OFF TO STRONG SO HIS SKILLS DONT LOOK NATURAL FROM WHAT I HAVE NOTICED FROM THE SEVERAL COMMERICALS I HAVE SEEN. WELL I THOUGHT THE SHOW WAS ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL KIDS NOT COLLEGE ONES WELL I LOOK FORWARD TO WATCHING THE SHOW BUT IF ITS REALLY FOR HIGH SCHOOL AGE KIDS YOU MIGHT HAVE TO MAKE SOME CHANGES WITH SOME OF THE CHARACTERS SO GOOD LUCK, MAYBE YOU COULD OFFER SOME ACTING CLASSES FOR YOUR ACTORS AND ACTRESSES.
the acting is fine and my 5 year old and 2 year old love them you dont have to like them. they are not ment for your age group.
None, I agree my kids love em too and I enjoy watching and singing along with them…Why cant people realize that it was meant for kids and to stop with all the negative comments. Whether people know it or not, each episode teaches a valuable lesson and a catchy tune for the kids to learn and sing along with.
Broader acting is typical for preschool shows. The show doesn’t establish whether the characters are in high school or college, and TV has a long tradition of using older actors for younger characters.
Please consider learning how to use punctuation and capital letters.

This is just a rip-off of Disney Channel’s Imagination Movers. Really pitiful if you ask me, they can’t even some up with something original.
Well I think it’s a great show with lots of fun music! Good Job Guys! My little boy (15 months) loves the music and dances around the livingroom the entire half hour it’s on. Even before it actually aired everytime one of the comercials/music videos would come on he would drop what he was doing and run to the tv and start dancing : )
I have 2 small children, ages 4 & 2. They love the show. My son wants an outfit like “Twist”. They sing and dance along with the show and ask everyday when it’s coming on. It’s a great show and I hope it stays on Nick.
Can anyone let me know if “Twist” has a clothes line where I could purchase a look alike yellow sweatshirt?

I was wondering their ages myself because they look like older people dressed to look like young teens…they are actually in the 25 year old range. But that aside i thing the show is good for the kids, gets em up and moving!
I love this show and so does my 3 yrs old! who care if they cast doesnt know how to act, as long as they make my boy laugh and dance it really doesnt matter. I think the young actors are doing a great job!

i think this show is very cute and my lil one, he is 4, just loves it!! yes it reminded me a lot of imagination movers on disney but my son likes it and its not full of violence. not much more that i can ask for!! i hope nick keeps it.
I think this is a great show. It’s clean family fun. My young children all enjoy it. My husband and I even admit to liking the show. So keep the clean shows coming and keep up the good work with the Fresh Beat Band:0)
i think the show is great all three of my boys ages 5 3 and 1 LOVE it and the kids dont seem to mind the acting skills isnt that all that counts
My son is 20 months old, and he has been dancing to the Fresh Beat Band since the preview trailers started appearing on Noggin. I DVR every episode and he never gets bored of them. Good job Nick… Fun music, positive messages (and gives me 1/2 hour to straighten up the house)!!!!

i have 2 kids 4 and 2 and they both love them look forward everyday till it come’s on and its targets at preschoolers and i think they have done a great job my kids even get up and dance

My 16 month old daughter loves this show so much!! She dances in front of the tv and gets all happy when the songs play!And She will watch the whole episode! No other show keeps her attention like this one! I record the episodes for her since there are not dvd’s yet! But I hope dvd’s will be availiable soon! If i sing the “Lah-Lah-lah It was a great day” she gets all excited and dances! Its cute to see her enjoy a tv show for the first time!
My 3 year old granddaughter absolutely loves this show. She thinks Twist is cute! Little kids don’t care about acting, they are more into the music and dancing and this show definitely has music. The show is harmless and fun and I don’t mind watching it with her.
I think it is a very cute show, and my two year old son loves it! Some people may think their acting is subpar, but I think they are “over-acting” for the kids that watch it. It is a cute show, with talented musicians.
My daughter love’s the Fresh Beats too. She just so wants to be Kiki. I have been trying to find an outfit like her’s too. So if anyone has any suggestions as to where I might find it please let me know. I just wish Nickjr.com would have a shop for them, they could make a lot of money selling the clothing line.
My 2 kids love the fresh beats! My little girl is 20 months and she can sing the songs and always asks for the beats! I would love to see so Fresh Beat toys come out soon!! Well for Me i think that the fresh beat band show is wonderful!My Oldest Son Dylan is 7 Years old and he loves it and so does my Son Brett that is 4 years old….And My Almost 2 Year Old Conner Will Sit down right next to the tv when it comes on and watch the whole show before he gets up and that says something right there…cause he is a kid that gets into everything and anything and it is great to have him sit down and not get into anything even if its only for 30 minutes.We had to purchase a DVR Player So That We Can Record “The Fresh Beat Band” For Him….So Now In Our House Its Fresh Beat Band ALL THE TIME!(But That doesnt bother me at all…if it makes my babies happy then i am happy.) Now I Have To See If They Have Any Fresh Beat Toys…That is what my 2 yr old wants for christmas…LOL! Great Job Fresh Beats…Very Cute Show&Good Values you are teaching younger kids…how to stick together,and that there is no problem too big that cant be solved…I dont know about everyone else but for us and our house we love them and are kids are the biggest fresh beat band fans!!
I have a twenty month old that runs to me with the remote and says ” I want Fresh Beat Band” I like th show we can dance around and have fun together, just wish they would air more new episodes

I believe this group is incredibly talented.They all complete one another and they all have awesome musical skills (including the dancers).My kids love it, I love it!! It is really a fresh new program which is healthy and fun for everybody.
My daughter is 17 months and just adores this show. She loves every song and dances along.

The Fresh Beat Band is AWESOME!! My niece and Nephews, 8-4-and 2 (who live with me) absolutely LOVE it!! Especially my niece, the 2 yr. old. She knows every word to all of the songs and tries to do the dance moves with them. It’s so cute! My name is Chrissy but coincidently all of my nieces and nephews have always called me KiKi..LoL…I think we need more kids shows like The Fresh Beats, it grabs their attention, gets them moving, and teaches valuable lessons. We all dance around and sing along everyday! Love It! Rock on Fresh Beats!..and keep the new episodes coming!
My 4 year old son LOVES this show. Twist is his favorite character. I feel bad for the actor who plays him b/c of the earlier bogus comment. The actors are doing a great job. It is refreshing to see a show where there are no smart alec wizecracks. I would love to find the sweatshirt Twist wears b/c my son wants it.
I don’t have any kids but I love kids and I sometimes take care of kids as well. I came across this show because I am a bored 18 yearold but I thought it was great for kids. The actors are doing a terrific job. Preschool shows are supposed to have exaggerated acting because its what kids like. Its obviously not about highschool kids, it’s just older people playing main roles to be your childs role model. Kids love to imitate older people and thats why this show is so great because they ARE great role models. Good job with the show and deffinately keep it going… And FYI to the haters, you don’t have to watch the show or let your kids watch if you don’t like it!
