What do you think of the top 30?  I can’t believe Toy Story 2 didn’t make the cut.  Actually, there are a lot of movies that I’m surprised are missing, but I’m also surprised that some ranked so high, such as Ratatouille.  While I like Ratatouille, I think movies like Toy Story and The Little Mermaid were better.

Your thoughts…?

  1. Scott says:

What about the classic Christmas movies like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer? Technologically, it can’t stack up to some of the Disney/Pixar offerings, but I would think Rudolph would resonate with many people…

  2. Club Penguin says:

Unfortunately, this list is done during the tech generation so they really only remember the more recent animated movies. I too agree that classic movies like Rudolph, or even some of the Charlie Brown movies should be included in this list. They are classics after all and are played year after year, that must count for something.

Kung Fu Panda, seriously? That movie hasn’t even been out that long and it is #2 on the list of top animated movies. No way. Like I said, the people who are voting on this are only thinking about the more recent animated movies.

  3. Susan Gunelius says:

Club Penguin, that’s a great point. I agree that the list focuses much too heavily on recent animated movies while many of the classics are so much better.

  4. Homer says:

Where the heck is all the British animations such as Chicken Run and Wallace and Gromit in Were Rabbit? Certainly better than Cinderalla I must say.
