One of my favorite books I got for my son when he was younger was a personalized story that had the main character named after him, and had the names of his friends and other things to personalize it for him throughout the book. So I definitely have a soft spot for personalized books.

I was a huge Winnie The Pooh fan growing up. I still have one of my Pooh dolls, of course his original outfit is long gone, and he’s been well loved but he’s still holding together. I was excited to see there’s a new Winnie The Pooh book coming out October 5th from Dutton Children’s Books.

There’s been tons of buzz lately about the new breastfeeding doll, Bebe Gloton. Now there is also a new breast feeding book coming out for kids. The book is called “Mommy Breastfeeds My Baby Brother,” and it’s written by Mark Repkin.

The book helps children deal with the emotions of another child coming into the household and the feelings of jealousy that come up when the new baby is getting all of mom’s attention. We have a few summer decluttering projects in the works over the next couple weeks at our house. Today’s project was to sort through all my son’s books. He still had books on his shelves from when he was an infant. I think it’s harder for me to let go of some of his books than it is for me.
I gave him two large plastic totes one for books he wanted to keep, and one for books he wants to get rid of.

My husband takes our triplets to the library every week.  The kids love it, and we discover a lot of cool books that way.  For example, we found the Good Night Our World book series from our local library.
