We went to see Disney’s A Christmas Carol in 3D today, and I have to say I was a little disappointed with the movie. The 3D effects were very good, you could definitely tell it was done by the same person who did Polar Express. I’m just not sure the movie was for kids.

Thomas The Tank is going to be making his debut on the big screen. There is a new Thomas the Tank feature length movie scheduled to premiere in theaters in the spring of 2011. Thomas was first created back in 1945, and he’s been a favorite for preschool boys for many generations.
My son loved the Thomas The Tank videos, books, and toys when he was younger.

I have more fun stuff for preschoolers today. Nickelodeon is rolling out a new live action, music, comedy series this fall. The Fresh Beat Band premieres on August 24th at 12 noon.
Nickelodeon is hoping kids will get up and dance to the fresh new sound of The Fresh Beat Band. The show will be about 4 friends who are not only in a band together, but also go to school together, and  love to sing and dance.

Leapfrog has a new DVD coming out, just in time for back to school. In their new DVD, Tad and Lilly are back and getting ready to, you guessed it, go back to school. Are you a Total Drama Island fan? I have to say I watched it every week with my son. It was so fun to watch them spoofing reality TV (probably because I’m a reality TV junkie).
If you’re not familiar with Total Drama Island, it was a Cartoon Network animated series that spoofed reality TV, especially Survivor. The characters were put on an island, and competed to win immunity so they would not get voted off.
