My son is totally in love with the new GX Racers™ from Jakks-Pacific. He has a couple of the cars and one of the race tracks, and he’s been practicing his moves. Every time we go to the store he’s scoping out a new track or a new Racer to add to his growing collection.

GX Racers are the perfect stocking stuffer. They’re a line of 1:64 extreme vehicles features interchangeable gyros that race up to 600 scale MPH. Which means high speed fun and action for kids.

Bakugan Battle Brawlers~ New Vestroia

My son’s a big Bakugan fan, so he’s super excited about the newest Vestroia Bakugan Battle Brawlers. The new Vestroia are traps, and can be thrown down with regular Bakugan for a more powerful attack.

The new Battle Brawlers Vestroia toys coincide with the new Spring 2009 season of Bakugan on the Cartoon Network. In the new season the Bakugan Battle Brawler resistance will be battling for all the Bakugan on New Vestroia to free them from the evil Vexos brawlers.

The Easter Haul~ Pokemon Platinum

The Easter Haul~ Pokemon Platinum

My son was excited this morning to wake up and find the Easter bunny had left him Pokemon Platinum in his Easter basket. Actually he was excited the first time he came downstairs at 4am, but I burst his bubble and told him to go back to bed! He never gets up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, except on Christmas and Easter, go figure!
He’s busy testing out his Pokemon Platinum game right now, so I’ll give you his review later! Have a wonderful and happy Easter Sunday!

Make Some Creepy Crawly Bugs

Make Some Creepy Crawly Bugs

My son and I made some creepy crawly bugs the other night with the Creepy Crawlers Workshop. It was pretty fun coloring and creating the bugs. My son made one for each of his friends.
The Creepy Crawlers Workshop is a toy classic that’s been around since 1960. Back to Basics Toys features the workshop, plus tons of other classic toys and games.
The creepy crawlies are easy to make, just pour in the goop, stick them in the Creepy Crawly Workshop oven, and bake them for about 10 minutes, then let them cool. My son had fun making …read more

Holiday Toy Guide~ Jakks EyeClops Night Vision Glasses

I’m working on a holiday toy guide for Play Library. I should have it up in the next couple days. I’ll be showcasing some of my favorite toys from the guide over the next couple weeks.
I sent out a query to try to find the best toys to include in the list, and received a huge response. I’m sorting everything out now.
One toy I’m sure I want to include on my list is Jakks EyeClops Night Vision Goggles. They’re on both my son’s, and my 7 year old neices Christmas list.

Bakugan Battle Brawlers- Hot Toys For Christmas 2008

Bakugan Battle Brawlers- Hot Toys For Christmas 2008

My son loves the Bakugan Battle Brawlers. Both the TV show on Cartoon Network, and the toys. I think they’ve replaced YuGiOh as his favorite battle toy.
I don’t let him watch too much TV, but he knows what time they’re on, and usually asks if he can watch it.
He has one set of the Battle Brawlers, but he has another set on his Christmas list. They’re listed on several hot toy lists for this Christmas season.
If they’re on your child’s wish list you can find out more about them at their official website, Bakugan.com.
They remind me a …read more
