A camera would make a great Christmas gift for an older child. My son loves taking photos. He’s always taking pictures with my camera, so I’m thinking about getting him one for Christmas this year (we’ll see). He’s also always claiming my SD cards for his DSi.
A couple weeks ago I received a high-performing SanDisk Extreme SDHC card from SanDisk to review for my Nikon P90. I never knew that an SD card could make a difference in your camera’s performance. Now I know. It can make a big difference. I’m in love with this card. I can tell a …read more

Check out this little guy. Isn’t he just adorable? He’s Minoru, the worlds first 3D webcam. Minoru is Japanese for reality. I think he’d make a really cute Valentine’s Day gift, he’s even red. He’d be so cute sitting on top of the computer.

Minoru works with messaging programs, like Windows Live Messenger, Skype, AOL instant messenger, OoVoo and most others.
Your friends and family can now see you in …read more

December 11, 2008 by Linette Gerlach

Fatheads are life size wall graphics of your favorite sports and entertainment stars. You can get sports stars from Tom Brady to Derek Jeter, to your favorite movie characters and stars like The Dark Knight, or Hannah Montana, and most recently they announced a new Jonas Brothers Fathead.
Fatheads are great for teens and tweens too old for toys, but still looking for something fun.
Fatheads do not cause damage to walls. They have a special adhesive backing that enables them to be removed, and moved from wall to wall without damaging the walls, or Fathead. They retail between …read more

I received a new catalog in the mail from Fisher Price yesterday and included near the back was a two-page spread filled with new Color Me Gemz products. Color Me Gemz are intended for children ages 5 and up, and they look like so much fun for young girls!
Using Color Me Gemz, kids use special pens to color in the “gemz” on special necklaces, belt buckles, charms, bracelets, and more. There are even peel and stick gems that kids can decorate then place on notebooks, purses, hats, and anything else they can think of! If my daughter were just a …read more

Here’s another great idea for tweens – old fashioned karaoke with a 2008 twist.
Did you know there are karaoke CDs available for all the hottest Disney Channel tween stars? I did a quick search on the Toys R Us website to find out which tween artists are featured on the Disney Karaoke Series CDs and found just about every Disney Channel star represented.
Check them out below. There’s Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus, The Jonas Brothers, High School Musical and High School Musical 2, The Cheetah Girls, and a compilation CD called Disney Girlz Rock that includes songs by Aly & AJ, …read more
